Weather Forecast for February 22 Across India


Weather Systems across the Country

The Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir is gradually moving away eastwards. Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Punjab and adjoining parts of Haryana and North Rajasthan. A trough is running from this system up to West Uttar Pradesh. The low-level cyclonic circulation persists over West Assam. An anti-cyclone is marked over Jharkhand

Weather Activity in last 24 hours

Fairly widespread rain and snow with isolated heavy spells were observed over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Light to moderate rain and thundershowers occurred over  Punjab, Haryana, and West Uttar Pradesh. Scattered light rains were also seen over parts of Rajasthan, and East and South Madhya Pradesh, while isolated showers were over Delhi, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and East Assam. Minimums increased marginally over northwest and central India including parts of Maharashtra.

Weather Forecast for tomorrow

Light to moderate rain and snow with few heavy spells would continue over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers with isolated hailstorm are likely over North Punjab, North Haryana, foothills of Uttar Pradesh, Northeast Madhya Pradesh, North Chhattisgarh and adjoining parts of Southeast Uttar Pradesh.

Weather would be dry over rest of the country.

Minimum temperatures may fall by 1-2 degrees over West Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan as cold northwesterly winds are set to return. Delhi pollution would not see any significant increase for the next 48 hours.
